It was time...

It was time to sit under my plum tree again for I had not visited my property since last October.

actually brought my dive gear with me this time and I ventured underwater for the first time in a long while as well.

There was a gathering underwater and later again, over dinner.  Some of the divers I knew and some I met for the first time.
People that live close to my plum tree that I may dive with again when I move closer and build my little house.

The weather was cooperative mostly and it only rained while I was inside.

That cloud wave actually brought some hail to my property which I saw the next day.

The winter had flattened the grasses down and as expected, everything was brown and grey....
Alright there was some green grass, moss and some itsy bitsy buds too.

As you can see the green house resembled more of the little shop of horrors with prickly blackberries growing crazy...

I decided that I would not worry about carting away garbage yet, maybe not until I am ready to dig.

However there was work to do and I got to it with my new clippers and garden gloves.

The yellow crocuses were up and the green in the foreground is rosemary. There is also sage and thyme in there. Add that to the parsley I found in the greenhouse and I have ... The sounds of silence... :)

Here is the mess from the greenhouse...

And here is what was underneath ....

I will have the fig tree cut back so it does not come in the roof, but I guess it should stay open for ventilation.

I walked around the property with a guy that will prune my trees for me. Turns out I have a couple more little apple, pear and cherry trees. And I found the blueberries as well! Between this bush and the greenhouse.

A better look...

And I added to the mess pile.

In between I took some rests on the bench for my back. There was no sign of 'the young ben', the cat.

I also walked around the property with a surveyor who will start some work (a topo survey) for me in the next month.  He seemed to think the slope where my house will be is not so great as to need a geotechnical survey. Once I know the slope I will chat with the building inspector again, but if needed I have located one.

And so it was time to head home to the house that is almost sold.
I brought some fresh rosemary with me.

Until next month!!
