Miss Lizzy

Today's outing was with my sister in law. We traveled about an hour to the French Alps, south east of Geneva to the highest mountain in Europe....Mt. Blanc.

To be specific we headed to Aiguille Du Midi next to Mt Blanc, two gondolas up to 3842 metres ... 12,604 ft.

The very top, which you access by an elevator inside, was not open for us. Check out glass bottom viewing there.

There are many viewing platforms off in each direction. The sunny south side looked toward Italy.

I always thought the people climbing high mountains walked slow because the air was difficult to breath ... I had to walk slowly so not to feel really dizzy.

We saw several people on the other sides of the fences. ... Back country skiing, hiking with ropes, climbing up walls. There was a display that also mentioned free climbing, base jumping, and slack lining.

Dizzy miss lizzy I was ... We walked about quite a bit, had lunch and we headed down.
