This was different than the beef steak I had the night before and before ...
Just to clarify the steak I had for my birthday, which came with rice and chips... Was an actual thick steak. And the thin steaks I have had are flavourful.
My favorite food in Portugal is the custard tart. The fresh buns are good too.
This place is probably full of pilgrams in the summer. They sign the walls. I think there were about 5 of these on the walls. I added my note.
Then I put my head lamp on and walked back down the road with my pack. Entering the albergue I met Laura from Italy. It was just the two of us in a huge room with maybe 25 bunk beds. Her English was not so bad and we chatted for a while. Speaking broken English fun!
She was super speedy... She left Fermanda's that morning ... Like 40 km. crazy woman. But I felt smarter because she had wet boots!! She did not have foam shoes ... Ah hah!
I had my shower and it was lights out at 2030 hrs. I could have gone to the lounge to read, but my sleeping bag was snuggly.
