This was a very exciting day.... Can you spot it?
Well in case you did not figure it out..... I have a chimney and indeed a woodstove!I held off the surprise by checking out the basement first. Here we can see the vapour barrier in place on the front and south walls.
The drywall going up in the will be unfinished bathroom.
The only place where the ceiling will be insulated for now is in the cold room. There also will be two vents in part of that wall sometime soon: a hot air out and a cold air in with a pipe/ hose down to the floor.
Here is the south wall again. You can see the hardware for my upstairs doors and for that matter... You can see the doors too.The north wall still needs work. They will have to leave part of the wall by the circuit panel un drywalled for a bit. The charger will locate outside on that wall and the cable/ internet needs access. Hmmm...
Anyhow.... Let's go upstairs....
Look my cute little jotul (Yo-Tull) wood stove is finally here!
My house is so well insulated that I will not need this thing firing too hot to keep my house toasty warm.
Okay it's probably called a heat shield or something.
The trim looks pretty nice too.The bathroom moves forward slowly with more tiles measured and cut, but not yet in place.
Check out the corner seams.
And more corner seams. Here is the living room.
Throw in the hallway in the picture so you can see the trim. Sadly my bathroom pocket door is not here yet.... A late order, oops. There will be another piece of trim on the exterior wall, but the kitchen cabinets need to be here to get the right measure. It will all make sense don't worry.
And I will have to sort out closet design when I deal with blinds....
Bedroom thermostatThe barn door will live against the wall on the right in this picture most of the time, as I doubt I will slide it closed very often.
This is one reason I will not close it very often....Can't wait to move the fur balls to the new house and see if it meets their approval...
